Salary: £35,000- £42,000 (+ benefits including travel)
Hybrid: 3 days in the office per week
We are excited to be working with a client on a communications opportunity in the transport industry. We are looking for a Internal Communications Channels Manager to join the communications team, reporting to the Head of Communications.
The role:
Manage effective internal communication channels to reach colleagues with timely news and information e.g. briefings, news hub, meetings/events, intranet, Yammer
Lead on production of the company magazine and news hub with an agency
Lead on content planning by devising, developing and delivering content and creative assets such as photography, video, case studies, factsheets and other relevant material
Be part of the crisis communications team
Deliver communications strategy by leading on the planning and delivery of internal communications and strategic campaigns
Lead on some leadership conferences as part of a wider team
Act as a main point of contact between business leads and the communications team, providing professional communications guidance. This is a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
Be a core member of the communications working group and business steering groups, working closely with roles responsible for external communications
Maintain and update the brand, narrative and assets
Hybrid working, with time spent working in the office, out in the field and from home.
About you...
Proven experience in internal communications, with knowledge of external communications
Multi-channel management/involvement experience
Commercial understanding
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Good communication skills, including strong writing expertise
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
A ‘can do’ approach to problem solving including consulting with appropriate stake-holders to arrive at an answer, knowing when to escalate for advice
Ability to build in-depth understanding of complex issues and communicate these effectively
Confidence in dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity in a constantly changing and challenging environment
Proven ability to manage own work whilst working as part of a team
Resilience and a willingness to work flexibly and quickly and able to manage a challenging workload calmly and with minimal support
UK rail industry knowledge and experience is an advantage, but not necessary
