We are working with a fantastic organisation on a number or roles.
This role will sit as part of the Internal Comms team whose purpose is to connect people to the strategy and help them understand how their role contributes to the delivery of the strategy.They do this by working with senior leaders to help them develop their communications plans in support of the key business priorities and encouraging their people to share their feedback, ideas and experiences.
JOB PURPOSE
The position reports to the Internal Communications Director and is part of the wider Internal Communications department.
To support the business priority campaigns by defining and prioritising strategic comms objectives – to design, implement and measure internal communications plans while always considering and focusing on activities and priorities that support our frontline.
The IC Campaign Lead will focus on engaging targeted audiences and internal influencers to maximise engagement including crew and our leaders, working closely with the other IC campaign leads to ensure joined up and purposeful communication with an appropriate cadence of communication.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, develop and deliver tailored strategic communication and engagement plans for key campaigns, projects, programmes and issues, to maximise engagement for target communities including crew, L350 and L50, ensuring alignment with wider business context, IC activities and the People Strategy
Manage strong and collaborative relationships with internal Operational stakeholders including OLT and direct reports to bring internal comms needs together and contribute to engaging our frontline audiences across the business
Provide strategic advice to our L50/350 on our internal communications strategy, messages, and issues, and prepare and enable them to communicate effectively with frontline audiences on key topics including large operational changes, engagement campaigns, key events, BAU comms etc.
Work with stakeholders and peers to plan, develop, deliver and measure relevant strategic colleague communication & engagement activities ensuring alignment with wider IC activities and the People Strategy
Provide strategic advice/consultancy to the wider IC team to ensure that they are aware of anything that may have an impact on airline wide initiatives
Create opportunities for our frontline crew to express their ideas, opinions, and concerns (pulse surveys, regular stand ups, AMB forums etc)
As part of the Internal Communications Leadership Team, contribute to the development and implementation of our new IC strategy including channels/content, narrative, leader visibility, etc.
Manage one direct report – IC Manager
Stay up to date on latest trends in communicating with frontline audience groups, so that we reach/engage our people in the most effective ways
Support additional activations, events or campaigns as needed

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum five years’ experience in Internal Communications
A creative thinker who can develop and implement ideas in line with airline culture
Experience of acting as a ‘communications consultant’ with an understanding of how to define business driven, results oriented internal communications plans.
Experience of working closely with senior management and influential stakeholders
Confident, articulate with excellent listening skills
Strong interpersonal skills and good presenter – able to make recommendations with gravitas and inspire confidence in others
Assertive and able to deal with difficult people and situations
Excellent planning and organisation skills; good project manager
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Excellent writing and editing skills
Ability to deal with pressure, cope with large workload, multi-skill and juggle
Ability to deal with conflicting agendas and fluctuating priorities
Practical, tenacious, resilient, energetic and enthusiastic
Familiarity with the airline or transport industry would be advantageous
