Head of Corporate Affairs, UK & Ireland

Reporting to: UK Managing Director

 

Purpose of Role:

To lead the Communications & Public Government Affairs function to develop, protect and promote the organisation's reputation with internal and external stakeholders and experts to ensure they are informed about the business, its activities, products and services, and see it as a partner of choice.

 

As a member of the UK & Ireland Executive Committee and the Human Pharma Leadership team, this position plays a critical leadership role, helping to shape local strategic direction.

 

Accountabilities:

  1. Develop and execute an effective internal communications strategy to ensure everyone is actively and positively engaged with the organisation’s strategy and objectives

  2. Develop and execute an effective and impactful public and government affairs strategy to leverage opportunities and help shape the policy environment. Engaging a broad range of public policy stakeholders such as politicians, industry associations and policy makers.

  3. Promote and protect corporate reputation based on their value proposition, so that we help to foster unique collaborations and partnerships, as well as attract and retain future employees.

  4. Effective and advisory crisis management

  5. Oversee and coordinate CSR activities for UK & Ireland

  6. Define and execute fully integrated, strategic, campaign-driven and impactful therapy area communications.

  7. Lead the Communications and Public Government Affairs team ensuring high performance and motivation by providing coaching, training, regular constructive feedback on performance and opportunities for development.
