​We are working with a global automotive/technology business to find a Global External Communications Manager. This is a brand-new role and will be responsible for delivering and developing the External communications strategy globally.

Key responsibilities/skills:

• Develop and deliver the PR/external communications strategy.

• Proven well rounded communications experience.

• Project manage bespoke customer events around the world.

• Media Relations – proactively pitch relevant media (B2B and B2B) and reactively support any issues/crisis communications.

• Communications and support surrounding events – typically 6-7 a year, these are bespoke b2b events and you will be responsible for press releases, journalist attendance, asset creation etc and management of messaging.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to interact with c-suite execs and industry experts such as engineers.

• Proven corporate communications experience.

• Successfully brief agencies, photographers and production companies to create new assets which can be multi purposed.

• Experience managing social media channels.

• Strong writing skills, responsible for creation of assets and speechwriting for execs.

• You will be culturally aware and ideally have some experience working with international markets.

• You will support on ESG communications.

• A background in automotive/technology is highly desirable. This can be from either in-house or agency side.
