A global non-profit focused on climate impact in the fixed income markets is looking for a Director of Communications and Media to build the organisation's global brand, profile, influence and reputation. This is a brand new role for the organisation as it develops its vision for the future and will work closely with the executive team to promote its strategy and ensure organisational consistency and alignment in message, content, colatteral and brand values encompassing the organisation's research, market outreach and advocacy activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise and deliver the organisation's communications strategy, enabling it to achieve its strategic objectives by delivering high-quality, impactful campaigns
  • Develop and shape the organisation's brand, voice and visual identity and in doing so enhance its brand equity and reputation
  • Project manage strategic communications projects
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of media contacts to ensure long-term placement of core messaging
  • Develop effective and timely communications that drive subscriber and stakeholder engagement and loyalty
  • Develop a clear and effective crisis management plan
  • Develop media and social media growth and engagement strategies
  • Oversee production of all communications and marketing materials
 
Skills and Experience:
  • A strategic thinker with proven experience in building a team of communications specialists and leading the execution of communications strategies that expand stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated grasp of the digital communications landscape and experience of utilising different technologies to achieve stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills
  • Abiligiy to work comfortably and efficiently in a collaborative setting
  • Experience in crisis management
  • Excellent verbal and written communications kills
