Our high-profile public sector client has retained our services to help them recruit a Deputy Head of Corporate Communications; a No2 in the team, with responsibility for both strategy & delivery across the communications mix. You'll support organisational leadership, develop and maintain external stakeholder relationships and offer both counsel and hands-on support across a wide comms remit.

We're looking for someone with a strong track record in both internal and external communications (gained within highly operational organisations), experience of managing a varied team of communicators and specific experience in crisis communications and media/community relations. You'll offer a potent mix of excellent planning capability, credible stakeholder relationship/management and the ability to think on your feet when facing complex issues... someone who enjoys both proactive and reactive communications! A varied and exciting role for someone comfortable in a public-facing organisation.

This role will be subject to pre-employment screening and security vetting. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with 2-3 days/week onsite, and as a fixed term contract (FTC) until April 2025 when the role may well become permanent following current restructuring.

If this role feels a great use of your experience and could represent your next career step, please get in touch today. Shortlisting will take place w/c 3rd June, with interviews tabled for w/c 24th June.
