Communications/Campaigns Officers (Interim)

​Salary: circa £350 per day (inside IR35)
Are you a comms pro with top-drawer digital skills?
Have you worked in a local authority or public sector environment?
Do you have experience in housing, planning, sustainable transport or urban regeneration projects?
Can you get to an HQ in south London 2-3 times a week and are you available for a new contract role right now?

I’m looking for accomplished media relations and campaigns experts to join a London Borough in bold growth mode as it seeks to significantly ramp up its communications output under ambitious new leadership. These roles are for an initial 9-month term paying circa £350 PD (inside IR35) and, while hybrid working is on offer, you’ll need to spend a good chunk of your time at or around a south London HQ with excellent transport connections (Tube, Overground, Mainline, tram) because of the nature of the assignments.

You might be a savvy, digitally-native campaigns whizz with plenty of knowhow on things like seasonal projects, calendar milestones and how to manage major interactions with residents. You’ll have a finely-tuned eye for a story and the ability to tease out impactful, multi-channel content that brings to life visible improvements and engages effectively with the borough’s huge and diverse stakeholder groups. Or perhaps you’re a capable PR practitioner who knows their way around areas like media relations, crisis response and cabinet engagement and is equally comfortable planning & producing original video content as you are knocking up a newsletter.

Digital channels, social media smarts & some video ability are really important to both roles, as is the presence onsite, so please do bear this in mind before applying.
