An international drilling organisation with operations across the globe is looking for a seasoned Communications professional to join its team. This is a broad communications position, covering both internal and external channels and the successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders, using multiple channels.
Key responsibilities:
Communications Strategy
Contribute to the creation and delivery of a cohesive Communications Strategy.
Support business customers to translate strategies into actionable communication plans.
Proactively identify communication opportunities and gaps and raise them to leadership.
Continuously innovate to deliver messages more effectively and efficiently.
Understand and embrace the opportunity to influence culture and morale.
Ensure all communications align with high-level strategy and objectives and ways of working.
Business Partnering
Support the Business Partner for select external-facing support functions, for example Commercial and Investor Relations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Maintain an informed knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including offshore drilling and future technology developments.
Deliver function- and campaign-specific communications plans; set clear objectives and develop an action-oriented plan to achieve them with a project mindset.
Utilize available channels effectively to maximize message uptake and achieve objectives.
Educate key stakeholders on communications best practices.
Make recommendations on the most appropriate/cost-effective communication channels for target audiences.
Content Production
Deliver campaigns that are accessible to all in the company, bridging the language gap between technical and business teams.
Develop print materials and branding strategies for employee, customers, investors, and partners use on time and on budget.
Collaborate with stakeholders, Comms Team, and agencies to deliver various publications, newsletters, copy for websites, press releases, and articles.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research with employees to tailor messages and campaigns; ensure the narrative is being understood.
Help launch and manage the social media strategy, implementation and monitoring.
Continually seek new ways of information-sharing and stay up-to-date with global media trends.
Project Management
Project manage the end-to-end delivery of special communications campaigns, and assist others within the team on the delivery of their projects, as required.
Manage meetings with a diverse range of stakeholders and working with members of other businesses or programme teams as appropriate.
