VMAil – September 2012
Following the magnificent performances at the Olympic and Paralympics games, VMA Group had a few significant highlights of its own with the launch of our Amsterdam office and more recently our Sydney office, to further strengthen our global reach. Willem De Ruijter, former Marketing Director for Rothmans Europe and TNC, has been appointed to head up VMA Group in Mainland Europe and Ali Moores, who previously worked for VMA Group in London, now rejoins the team based in Sydney, reporting to Asia-Pacific Head, Katrina Andrews.
For those of you who are interested in gaining an insight into the recruitment market from the prospective of each of our specialist practices areas, VMA Group’s quarter three market updates are due out this month. The teams discuss trends and demands that they have seen emerging throughout the third quarter of 2012 and give their predictions for the quarter ahead.
I am also delighted to announce the launch of VMA Group’s UK Public Affairs Survey 2012 / 2013. This is the second UK Public Affairs Survey we have completed and we have given a comparative analysis from the 2011 findings, providing an insight on behalf of practitioners from all disciplines of public affairs throughout the UK.
Our events calendar was full during September bringing together the communications community at the IC Crowd breakfast, a roundtable discussion on leadership and communications within professionals services as well as at a breakfast for business owners and senior communications/marketing professionals within the regulated industries.
VMA Group’s interim practice hosted an interim management seminar for HR and communications professionals considering a career in interim management or freelancing. The Midlands practice of VMA Group also hosted an evening networking event for senior IC practitioners to preview the results of our Professional Development in the Internal Communications Report 2012-2013. The report is due out soon.
October is already packed with a variety of events for HR and communications professionals.
VMA Group is proud to be sponsoring the The UK Public Sector Communications Awards 2012. Held in Manchester on 20th November, the event will celebrate and reward excellent communication strategies and campaigns, teams and individuals in local and national government, emergency services and not-for-profit bodies from across the UK along with agencies working for public sector organisations.
We have recently launched a referral scheme so if you know any talented HR or communications professionals who we can place in a new role you could be rewarded with a £100 Amazon voucher or you can opt to make a donation of £100 to our charity of the year, Connect.
We will keep you informed of developments within the business every month in VMAil and always welcome your comments.
