In VMA Group’s Business Leaders in Communicators Study Reputation Management came up time and time again, as an area of focus for most communicators – with 88% of Comms Directors reporting that it was their #1 area of focus in 2013.
Not surprisingly, this was the topic covered at our last Heads of Comms breakfast, aptly titled First Tuesday of the Month Club, on the 7th May. This group of 23 from cross-sectors including; financial services, transport, chemicals, retail, manufacturing and technology, debated what role and influence each had to play in this area and the impact on their organization/industry. One of the best takeaways from this session was the group determining where they were in the reputation management evolutional 5 D’s; Duck – Deny – Defend – Dispute – Dialogue.
