Taking a Direct approach to recruitment
At VMA Group we are only too aware of the ever evolving communications landscape and the impact this has on skills requirements. Because of this constant change, there is no “one size fits all” solution for communications recruitment and it can often be extremely difficult to engage with the right people in the right way – cue our new offering VMA Direct – “the new member of the VMA Group family”. (You’ll be seeing more of our “VMA family” pugs in our new advertising campaign over the next few months).
VMA Direct has been designed to connect employers with entry to mid-level communications talent quickly and cost-effectively. This new service is able to match the best talent available to future employers without the time and cost implications sometimes associated with the recruitment process, and crucially, without sacrificing any of the quality.
With the current pace of change and need to disseminate information more quickly than ever through a growing number of channels, today’s communications teams are facing ever increasing workloads. However, despite growing economic confidence, budgets remain tight and there is a constant need to do more for less. One consequence of this has been a shift in the allocation of resources, with increasing numbers of entry to mid-level staff now taking on the sorts of responsibilities more usually associated with senior members of the team.
As a result, we’ve noticed a growing trend towards employers spending more time trying to attract less experienced candidates who can then be earmarked for future leadership positions. This is already opening up more opportunities for those individuals willing to take on greater challenges to progress their career, but makes in-house resourcing teams’ jobs that much harder. Pressure is being heaped on in-house recruitment managers to find the superstars of tomorrow quickly and on a budget, often without the specialist experience to do so.
We believe VMA Direct can relieve this mounting pressure and if you would like more information or have any questions or feedback about our new service, please do get in touch.
