Internal Communications Market Update Quarter One 2012

Historically the first quarter of every year is quieter than the following months with organisations focusing on their annual results. However, we saw a marked increase in recruitment activity in quarter 1 2012 compared to this time last year. Permanent recruitment activity increased as professionals who had been cautious to move careers due to the continued uncertainty in the marketplace became more optimistic. In addition, with the increase of mergers and acquisitions taking place in the economy as well as organisational restructuring, we saw an uptick in demand for mid-to-senior level internal communications professionals.
