​​A leading global​ law firm is looking for an experienced communications professional to join their Marketing and Communications team in a newly created role to support all areas of internal communications with a specific focus on developing global strategy and improving firm-wide employee engagement, as well as supporting the firm's ambitious people, transformation and responsible business initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Senior Communications Manager to develop and deliver a global internal communications strategy that supports the firm's vision, values and growth plans, ensuring alignment with the firm's developing external communications strategy.

  • Maintaining an effective communications infrastructure of tools and channels that enable flexible, agile and creative communication, reflecting the firm's brand, tone of voice and style guide. Keeping abreast of developments in channel and content management, with a view to introducing innovative approaches where possible to improve two-way engagement.

  • Building relationships and influencing internal and external stakeholders globally, at all levels, to adopt best internal communications practice including cohesive messaging, effective personal and team communications and cascade mechanisms.

  • Leading on developing communications plans for flagship transformation programmes, including a global programme supporting change in the way the firm thinks about how and where they work, with new workplaces, technology and working policies to help their people thrive.

  • Managing the intranet, including the Firm's corporate content, on a daily basis, supporting and motivating the community of intranet champions and editors, and upholding standards and governance.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Internal communications experience within a large, diverse, multi-region or global organisation preferable. Legal or professional services experience an advantage.

  • Excellent copy-writing, editorial and proofreading skills with the ability to distil large amounts of information for diverse audiences.

  • Experience of implementing, managing and continuously improving an intranet as well as additional channels.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to advise and influence stakeholders, building relationships at all levels.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint and Yammer, as well as complementary digital tools.

  • Effective project and time management skills; able to multitask and prioritise work in a fast-paced complex environment, working to tight deadlines.
