(Internal) Communications Manager

New (financial) year, new role?

I’m really pleased to be working on a new position with a client in the Financial Services sector. As a scale-up business, Internal Communications is relatively new in this organisation and the team is looking for someone to help evolve the growing function. Sat in a small team of 5 people, you will mostly be working on internal communications and also supporting on some external comms, notably liaising with a PR agency. You will also be responsible for setting the Internal Comms strategy.

What else can I expect?

For this position, you will need to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for internal comms and autonomous working in your internal comms career – this may mean you have worked in a standalone role before. You will be comfortable having exposure across business functions and have a demonstrable ‘can-do’ attitude and advisory mentality. Some work may include:

-        C-suite communications and content creation

-        Ad-hoc event work

-        Podcast and intranet management

-        Stakeholder engagement plans

And what else?

You might not be the finished article, but whoever takes this position must bring a positive attitude and have a willingness to learn and develop. P.s., experience of comms within the financial services sector would be a bonus!
