Interim Management

How do Interims get paid?

Our interim managers charge a daily rate for their services. VMA Group will pay the interim and you will receive a weekly or monthly invoice which includes the interim’s day rate and our fee.

Daily rates vary but you can expect to pay more than the equivalent salary. This is partly because interims tend to be overqualified for the assignments they take on and also to compensate for the lack of employee benefits. Your organisation is not responsible for costs such as employer’s National Insurance, or holiday/ sick pay when paying an interim manager.

When should I employ an interim manager?

Interim communications professionals can join your organisation to support you on a temporary basis. This could be to assist with the communications surrounding a change, during the implementation of a new strategy or to plug a crucial management or skills gap. Other common reasons include:
