APAC comms directors optimistic for 2016
The future is bright for the communications sector in Asia-Pacific, according to senior execs in the industry surveyed by marketing and comms consultancy VMA Group.
Moreover, 52 percent said they expect growth in the comms space in 2016.
In an indication that there could be more talent entering and moving around the APAC comms industry, 69 percent said they are open to new career opportunities.
Of that, 62 percent are ‘considering opportunities’, while 7 percent are ‘actively looking’.
“This research reinforces what previous market analysis has already highlighted about the local communications market – the future for Asian business is optimistic, and the future of Asian communications looks set for corresponding growth,” said Lisa MacMillan, head of VMA Group’s Hong Kong office.
Daniela Mackay-Cruise, head of VMA’s Singapore office, said according to the agency’s latest ‘Pulse’ report, which surveys more than 500 corporate comms professionals in Asia, almost 75 percent forecast growth in the sector, particularly regarding internal comms and digital.
